LIBERTY FC's 10 YEAR CELEBRATION GIVE BACK PROJECT

This week our club kicks off the start of the Fall season with our new Puma uniforms! Don't know what to do with your player's old uniform? Just bring them to trainings August 28th - Sept 8th.
WHEN TO DONATE: August 28th - Sept 8th

WHERE TO DONATE: At trainings 5:30 - 7:00 pm held at Liberty Fields (Mondays and Fridays) and Pinnacle (Thursdays).

There will be storage bins marked PROJECT LIBERTY to put your items in.

WHAT TO DONATE: Old Liberty FC uniform items and any other gently used soccer clothing.

WHO WE ARE DONATING TO:
Orphanages/organizations in Romania

This is part of Liberty FC's 10 year celebration and to keep the tradition going of GIVING BACK to help others in need. It is also a great way to get our players involved in service work. We will need their help to collect, sort and pack things up for shipment. More details about this will be sent out later.
Our club held the first Liberty FC donation project in 2014 and it was a huge success! We were able to ship over 700 pounds of items to 3 different organizations in Romania. You can view previous accomplishments on the Project Liberty page of our website. With your help we know this time around will also be a success!
If you have any questions please contact Kris Notarianni ([email protected]) or Amy Brewer ([email protected]).
Thank you for getting involved and supporting Project Liberty FC!

To help offset the cost of shipping we will be selling Project Liberty T-Shirts (red and white) for $15.  As a thank you, your player can wear the shirt as an alternate training jersey.  Please click on the following link for the order form:  PL T-Shirt Order Form

PREVIOUS PROJECT

Purpose:

To collect Liberty FC jerseys and other gently used soccer jerseys, shorts, sweatshirts, shoes and balls.  Our goal is to collect enough items to send to 3 different Romanian locations in need where Tavi was born, raised his family, started his coaching career and played professional soccer.

This Year’s Project a Success!

Thank you to all who participated in donating items and to the players and family   members who helped to sort and pack the donations to prepare for shipping to Romania!  We collected over 700 lbs of goods!  THANK YOU!

A special thank you to the Marchetta family for storage space of the donated items!

Our Donations have Arrived in Romania!

Five boxes of donated gear by Liberty FC members were distributed by Tavi’s brother in May to an orphanage in Romania 10 miles from Tavi’s childhood village.

On June 3-5, more of our donations arrived in Cugir, Romania. See their THANK YOU video here:

2016 - CAEDEN BAUER CAR MAGNET FUNDRAISER

Our Project this Fall has a personal attachment, as it affects one of our Liberty FC families.

CAEDEN'S STORY

Caeden Bauer was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in early November of 2015. He immediately was placed in an aggressive protocol to defeat the disease. To date he has had six rounds of standard chemotherapy, six surgeries, and two stem cell transplants that involve a heavy dose of chemo prior to receiving his blood cells. Although considered in remission, he still must undergo radiation and then immune therapy treatment to give him the best chances of permanently defeating the disease.

Caeden has shown tremendous courage and spirit during this entire ordeal. He has remained in fairly good spirits and always manages to put a smile on his medical staff's faces.  His sisters and family have tried to keep things as normal as possible under these difficult scenarios.  One outlet for them has been their continued involvement in sports.  The family cannot begin to express their sincere appreciation and thanks for all of the support, friendship, rides, and meals.

Caeden should be considered fully healthy in spring of 2017 and in a few years will hopefully be joining his sister as part of the Liberty family.

WHAT CAN WE DO

You may have seen many players and families wearing support wrist bands for Caeden this past Spring.  We approached Caeden's parents and asked what we could do as a Club and were told that anything would help.  As you can imagine the financial impact can be very daunting.  So we came up with a fundraiser to provide something that many of you have asked for - Liberty FC car magnets.  We will be selling each magnet for $10 a piece.  All proceeds will be given to the Bauer Family to help offset the medical expenses that they have incurred.

If you can, please utilize the registration links below to order a magnet(s). As an option, you will have the ability to donate an additional amount at check out.  We bought 250 magnets and hope to be able to sell them all on Caeden's behalf.   We will start handing out the magnets at practices later this month. Thank you for any and all support!
